Lily got the Mick Jagger lips from the bon bon.

Sonia.."See I don't need fake ones"

We ate, laughed, ate and when ' we was done ' we played charades.

Maizy and Kim

Abigail with Jules, she doesn't look old enough to have a 25 year old son .
Toby had to work, but came after and had a meal.

We had a lovely day,

About 35 outside, the girls had a swim in the pool.

But it was air-conditioned so us 'oldies' didn't feel it.
Ho, ho, ho, who's turn next year?

Leaving Silver Tree

Maizy graduated from Silver Tree - Steiner School - Parkerville

Pictured with her mum and Dad and her grandparents, Rosalie and John.

It was happy, sad day. Silver Tree had opened it's new school in Sept.

so Maizy got to spend the last term in this idolic setting ... in the bush!

Her teacher, Carol had been with her since she started in grade 1.

She took the whole class through to grade 6. They now move onto

Perth Waldolf and then she is off to John Curtin College of the Arts.

Well done darling girl!

Old Soldier gone to rest!

UNCLE FRED, 91 SLIPPED AWAY THIS MORNING IN HIS SLEEP.

AS THEY SAY " he had a good innings"

Born in Scotland, but reared an Aussie. He served in the AIF and was a

prisoner of war in Italy. Escaped to Switzerland after the Italian Commandant

set them all free. He finished his butchers apprentiship in Swizterland.

His famous sausage secret went with him.

A community minded man, he was involved in the RSL, bowling club,

Osborne Park Agricultural Show, and goodness knows what else.

He was chosen in his 80's to run with the Olympic torch.

Well he didn't run , but we all went to Nedlands to cheer him on.

It was such an honor to see him with two aids other side [ in case he slipped ]

He loved his diggers hat, it went with him were ever he went. He wore it

proudly.

Thanks for all the stories and the laughs Uncle, you were a charmer!
