Trip down the Thames

The boat left the wharf right under Big Ben.
Carol took us on a trip down the Thames to Greenwich. It was the best sight-seeing tour we have ever done. On other occassions we
have been on the buses.

It was a perfect day . We laughed at the comments made by the cockney 'tour guides' all the way to Greenwich and all the way back

St. Paul Cathedral in the background

According to our 'guides' Daniel Radcliffe went to this school. Well if your a Harry Potter fan you will know who he is!

Never thought we'd ever see this!

We took this ride about 9 years ago!

After this great day. Lo and behold Mike picked us up alongside the Thames, in the shadow of Big Ben.
Our 'chauffeur' [ bless him ] was waiting to for us. It was so lovely to step into the car and not have the hassle of crowds and transport. Being a Londoner, he knows the traffic real well. He is a WIZZ behind the wheel.
Thanks Carol and Mike for a wonderful day.

  1. More lovely photos. I went on the ferris wheel in Niagara Falls, the view was fantastic, but if I looked down I felt ill, so I could only look straight ahead hahaha xxx
