MONDAY AGAIN!

A craft village............oh yeh, Bobs gonna love that!
In fact he did, much to my surprise. Mostly the second hand and antique shops set in a disused Army/airforce base  about half hour out of Manchester. Set on a hill, caravan pk adjacent, and meadows with black and white cows. Saw a magnificent chandelier for £15.00,  I could hear Tony & Stef saying
"no dont" Then ornate silver forks 5 for £10 Barbara would love them .In the end common sense prevailed.
have to watch the pennies.......I still want the chandelier!
I find it odd that our Aussie accents still have people stopping and talking to us..You'd think the English would be used to it.
Beautiful shaded narrow roads lined with hedges , reminds me so much of Jenis artist mother Betty.
Leaving the Chandelier behind we made our way further up the hill to Heathercliffe, a gracious old home that is now a tea rooms, it overlooks patchwork meadows with grazing sheep, cows and of times gone by.
It has entertained generations of people, film crews, Ballykiss Angel, Robin Hood , just to mention a few.
Normally not opened on a Monday, but served us a lovely afternoon tea MUST HAVE BEEN MY TITLE!!!.
Catch you all tomorrow.....love ya! Lady Pamela.
