BRIGADOON & AN ODE TO A TEA ROOM

Sun 4 Sept

The very mention of a tea shop brings a warming to the hear.  It becomes a place to meet a friend with promise of cake or tart....

Down the glen and around the corner from Rob Roy's grave, we stumbled on The Library Tea Rooms.  A picture postcard!

We sat outside in the sun and Karen & Heather had morning tea & our hot chocolate came in a "tea pot" with a mismatch of china tea cups and saucers.  Lisa the owner had decorated the tea rooms with old doillies and tablecloths and memorabilia.  The other couple in the photo laughed as I took Lisa and her assistant's photo, so I took one of them as well - that soon shut them up!!  It was just darling.

Outside at a table next to us was a chap who had been to Kalgoorlie - couldn't believe it.  We gave him Bill's card as he was in mining.  This was a magical place for me (and Karen) just loved it.
