It was early Sunday morning when we started our jouney to Edinburgh, through the back roads, that took us through mountains, quaint villages, over stone bridges that had stood the test of time, farms with sheep and cattle grazing [ boy the cows here have huge horns ] backpackers, and walkers . Ski lodges as this area has high mountains that get snowed in. We were heading for BALQUHIDDER, the village where Rob Roys family were buried......KAREN IS A DISTANT RELATIVE. making this journey all the more exciting.
