PARIS!!!!

Julie had a taxi waiting for us at 5.30am. We crossed London Bridge right under Big Ben, took my breath away, a beautiful morning, hardly any traffic, considering it was London.
We're  on the EuroStar for PARIS.
It took off like a bullet racing across the English country side. next thing we are in a tunnel, seemed about 15 minutes, then we were roaring toward Paris........WAS THAT IT?
I was expecting  this long trip in a dark tunnel, passing beautiful farmland, villages, steepled churches and cream coloured building with pitched roofs [ a stark difference to the grey ones we had left on the other side of the Channel. Arriving about 10.30am. Julie headed us toward the bus stop where we bought tickets for the day. Thank goodness she was with us. What a STAR!
