Visualise -FT.WILLIAM / GLENBOGLE

Sat 3 Sept

In 2007 my friend Jeni wrote on a small piece of card,
  I WILL BE IN
FORT WILLIAM IN 2009.
Her son Sam was riding in the World Finals for Mountain Biking [ I think he was already World Champ]
I said I would love to come and see him race and to go  back in Scotland again. [watching Sam race is breathtaking, I never thought I could get excited about a mountain bike ride]
I carried that card in my purse till this year.
.At the time  I knew I was going to Scotland. I had no idea about Glencoe .....and that I would see Fort William  which is about 20 minute drive away from Loch Leven.
It was very wet when we arrived and would like to have taken "Sam Hill" ski lift up to Ben Nevis [the highest mountain in Britain.....maybe Mt.Snowden ] We couldn't see "Ben" for cloud, so we gave it a miss and opted to see GLENBOGLE........MONARCH OF THE GLEN, it was about 40 minute drive away.
Forty minutes in Scotand can make a world of difference to the weather.
Unfortunately we could only spy  the beautiful place from across the Loch , with binoculars and a zoom lens camera we picked it up through the birch trees..... It is private property.
BUT ......we did find the gate house [ which you can rent ] and the bridge.....and yes, it is dodgy!
I would think they have a much sturdier one else where
